Kevin T. Obymako, President, founded Pursuit Real Estate Service, Inc. in 2002. Pursuit's primary function is to seek and acquire single site development opportunities. Since Pursuit's inception, Kevin has been responsible for over 75 million dollars in development projects including sites for Starbucks, Verizon Wireless, BB&T, Mattress Firm, Chili's, Family Dollar, Advance Auto Parts, Walgreen's, AM South/Regions, Arby's, 7-Eleven and other retailers.
Prior to founding Pursuit, Kevin was president of Urban Outsource, an Illinois-based retail developer, focused on single-site development. At Urban, Kevin developed a growth strategy leading the firm's expansion of single site developments into new markets such as California, Michigan, Illinois and the Pacific Northwest. Kevin recruited and hand selected a team of individuals that would assist Kevin in accomplishing the growth strategy. During Kevin's tenure he established development guidelines to work seamlessly within the customer's internal structure.
Kevin began his real estate career with Mobil Oil Corp., where he worked for 17 years. During his tenure with Mobil, Kevin was responsible for managing over 500 million dollars in Mobil's real estate assets and growth initiatives in markets including Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. Kevin was responsible for opening more than 150 new and 500 remodeled facilities for Mobil. Kevin was involved with Mobil's transitioning from its own proprietary real estate department to an outsourced real estate department. Mobil reduced its proprietary real estate staff down from over 90 people to just 6 people remaining to oversee the outsource relationship with Trammell Crow Company. Kevin had responsibility for the leadership of the Trammell Crow field personnel to train them on site selection, property acquisitions, negotiations, development and dispositions of potential sites.
Timothy Wiley, Vice President, started with Pursuit in 2002. Tim helped pioneer 7-Eleven's recent expansion in Chicago's downtown market by delivering 14 stores in 30 months. As a preferred developer for Advanced Auto Parts, Mr. Wiley is continually identifying, building and opening successful sites and bringing new stores on line including a co-development with ALDI Food Stores. Tim's primary area of focus for new developments is the Chicago land market.
Mr. Wiley began his real estate career more than 30 years ago, converting apartment buildings into condominiums. In 1987, he founded Chicago Apartments and Condos, a residential leasing and sales company with multiple locations and more than 30 sales agents. After selling his interest in 1995, Mr. Wiley assisted the Department of Housing and Urban Development in assembling more than sixty Chicago properties for its Scattered Site Housing Program.
Mr. Wiley studied Real Estate Finance at DePaul University. He is also a candidate for the CCIM designation.
Shannon L. Obymako, Leasing Director, joined Pursuit in 2005, primarily responsible for the leasing of our developments in Florida, Illinois and Georgia. Shannon is our corporate liaison with our tenants. Shannon has successfully managed our retail centers developed by communicating with our tenants and addressing their needs and concerns upon completion. Shannon has worked to successfully negotiate leases with retail tenants such as: Starbucks, Chili's, Mattress Firm, Godfather's Pizza, BB&T, Mattress Firm, Tijuana Flats, Verizon, Cingular, Arby's as well as numerous local retailers. Shannon is a licensed real estate agent and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is a graduate of the University California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Aaron Weeks, Senior Development Manager, Aaron is affiliated with Pursuit through Weeks Services Group ("WSG") www.weeksgrp.com, a rapidly-growing project management and development management company based in South Florida which he owns. Aaron is responsible for managing ground up development projects in the Atlanta, Chicago and South Florida markets, from due diligence through the project close-out and completion phases. Aaron's expertise is in development and construction in urban and high growth areas. He specializes in due diligence, planning/design management, budget analysis, schedule development, project management and construction management. Prior to forming WSG, Aaron was Senior Project Manager at Himes Associates, a project management firm based in Fairfax, Virginia. In that role, he led its team in South Florida which provided construction management, facilities management and project management for many clients, including Atlas Air, Mobil Oil and American Red Cross. Aaron holds a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
